Langton Green Badminton Club

Badminton is FUN, sociable, great exercise and  inexpensive. 

We play at Langton Green near Tunbridge Wells in Kent and play matches in the Tunbridge Wells Badminton League.

Our badminton court is in the Langton Green Village Hall which is conveniently located on the Kent/Sussex border and a short drive from Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Southborough, Crowborough and the many surrounding villages.

Langton Green Badminton Club is a very friendly club full of enthusiastic players.  

We are affiliated to the Tunbridge Wells Badminton League, Kent Badminton and also Badminton England.

Club practice sessions ("club nights") are played on Tuesday evenings from 8.00 pm until about 10.00 pm. These are always doubles games, usually mixed  but occasionally mens or ladies doubles. We play with feather shuttles.

Home league matches are played on Friday evenings from 7.30 pm. Match teams for 2023-4 are: Combination 4's (mixed), Ladies' 4's, Open 4's (formerly Men's) and the separate Composite competition


There is of course no obligation to play in matches, if you only want to play social badminton that's absolutely fine.

Our playing season runs from early September until the end of May, we also sometimes run a Summer Club.

The club has a long history and was formed over 60 years ago. Our court is located within Langton Green Village Hall , this is a modern building which is next to the sports ground at Langton Green, the facilities are excellent with lots of car parking spaces just a few metres from the Hall, the hall has free WiFi. 

At the moment we are only able to potentially accept new adult players, i.e. over 18's only. We would particularly welcome new lady players.

fees

Annual fees are £80, this covers all your affiliation fees and all club night play during the official season. This is less than £3 per club night! 

We charge a £5 visitors fee, this is is refundable if you were to end up joining. 

Match fees are £5 per match, this is only payable if you play in a team, in a match in the local league against another club.
